Help Id This From Cayman Islands

Having observed the rock anemones in my aquariums, I'd buy that. They can stretch quite grotesquely. Also, I started with one, now I have like ten.

I was thinking it was some kind of strange growth or expansion on a sponge.

Both anemones are closed up. In the first photo you can see tentacles on the bottom nem. In the second it looks like what a nem foot holding on to a rock would look like if you were pulling it off. I think what makes it unusual is the second nem either did not attach or bailed on the location before it fully split.

Generally a good Caribbean liveaboard trip.

We were on the Cayman Aggressor several years ago and had a fabulous trip but we heard negative comments about the CA from a divemaster when we were staying at a land-based resort on Little Cayman late last year.

Below if the link to a thread I started asking for feedback regarding the validity of the comments we had heard - in case we decide to go back or recommend the trip to others.

Please take a look at my questions and see if you have anything to share to confirm or refute the statements.
