Fantastic planning. There is a good reason why your girlfriend is so focused on Osprey. It easily offers some of the best diving sites you will ever see off Australia. The reef closer to the land is far less impressive, and effectively, you will be spoilt heading out to that venue as a starter diver. (Took me a good 3 years of coastal diving before heading out into the big blue off Cairns). As a general recommendation, if you have to skip any dives, the ones closer to the coast are less impressive. That said there's always the chance you might see something new anywhere you go. Don't forget the motion sickness tablets !!!!!! They are GOLD!
