Leaving for Great Barrier in a few weeks, and just used my C-750 w/PT-18 housing in West Palm this past weekend.

Looking for strobes/arms compatible with this camera. What are the models and who carries a reliable selection/service?

Thanks in advance,
Ardeis in Tampa

Hope you don’t mind me tagging along. I also have a c750 with the PT 018 case and have taken it on more then 40 dives. I would love to put a good strobe

I use the Inon D-180 strobe. According to the Inon Manual it is compatible with your housing and camera.
This photo will show you two different tray/arm setups. Either can be purchased from Yuzo in Japan.
Give some thought as to whether or not you will be adding lenses and a second strobe as that will change the configuration of your tray.
I have been using a homemade setup to date.

I now want to add a close-up lens and will need a second lens dock for it in addition to my wide angle lens. I am in the process of making a tray/handle that is more sturdy and will accomodate two lens docks. I have it nearly completed except for some type of material to add to the handle areas. This tray (not to scale) can be used single handed to take photos with the right hand as the position of the camera housing on the tray will allow me to reach the shutter and zoom controls while holding the right handle area. It's a cheap item to make. I will use the loc-line arm on it. You need to order two parts from Yuzo that attaches the Inon strobe to the loc-line.

I ordered the Fisheye Tray and Arm combo with an Inon d180 strobe from Yuzo in Japaj as Gilligan suggests and am delighted with the product - I ordered 2 extra extensino sections to give more length and the flexibility but strength of these arms is great. The Inon strobe is excellent with wide angle coverage; a focus light; small but bright and powerful. I'm yet to figure out where to put the lens dock for the Epoque wide angle lens.

Cheers! Wiggsy.

I use the Sea & Sea YS-90A strobe/arm/tray assembly, which I purchased from Liburdi's Scuba in Costa Mesa, CA. Their website is www.liburdisscuba.com. They sold me the complete package for about $850. You could probably knock about $100 off that price if you look around online. Spending the extra money at Liburdi's was worth it to me because Mr. Liburdi is a very nice man who gave me a lot of good advice during my search for a strobe, then took the time to sit down with me for an hour or so after I bought it and teach me about every dial and switch until I knew exactly how to use it properly. But anyway, Sea & Sea sells it online as a package as well, including a fiber-optic cable and an easy conversion kit for your PT-018 housing that turns the YS-90 into a slave flash.
