Does anyone other than Whites manufacture a stock suit for athletic builds? I'm 6'2" 172#. Thus far I have only found Whites has a stock suit that will fit me off the rack. I will be wearing quite a thick undergarment due to conditions in my area and I keep that in mind when evaluating sizes. I prefer a shell suit, please save the neoprene and crushed neoprene suggestions. Thank you for your assistance.

P.S. I am trying to avoid "training" to fit into a stock suit (eating cheeseburgers, pizza, french fries in copious quantities).

Man - wish I had that problem - I'm 'training' myself outta my 3XL!! ;)

Come to think of it - it's loads of fun to train though.

Adding thick undies, I would guess a stock large DUI would do the trick. I have a friend that is almost exactly your size and he uses a stock large DUI. A little baggie but not a big deal with a shell suit. If you are going to be very picky with sizing then I highly suggest you get a custom suit. Buying a stock size, in most cases, is an exercise in compromise. Something generally has to give. In my case, it's length. No problem, i just fold the extra length over my rock boot and it's gone.

The extra few hundred for a custom suit will pay big over the next 7-10 years of the life of your suit especially if you want it to fit that well. Spending more the first time can sometimes mean spending less in the long run. Good luck! Have fun! If I had to do it over again, I would buy a custom suit. Most will say the same and for good reason.

BTW, I think Arnold (as in Gov. of Cally) would not call your build "athletic." ;) Just joking with ya!
