Hello all,

I hope this thread finds you well.

I am new to scuba and have been lucky enough to inherit full scuba sets (BCD, weights, 1st stage, 2nd stage, pressure gauge, dive computers, fins, masks, snorkels, etc.) from my late father-in-law.

All fine and wonderful except that the equipment is all from a company called Aquamundo which is a Philippine company. I'm in California and no one has ever heard of the brand, including specialty dive shops in my area. Therefore, the equipment that needs servicing, can't be serviced by anyone out here.

Does anyone know if Aquamundo is manufactured by another company, European or American? I've been looking on different areas online and have come up with zilch. Just that they teamed up with a "well-known European company", which they fail to name.

Any help would be much appreciated. I would love to be able to use my gear, rather than having to buy new sets or rent indefinitely.

Thank you!

Have you contacted them directly to ask them if they can help you find any dealers or service centers "local" to you?

I've actually had pretty good luck in the past doing that. The manufacturer whose name is on the product generally wants you to be happy about said product and will try to help sort you out most of the time.

Hello fjpatrum! Thank you for responding
I emailed them this morning but I am still waiting on a response. I have also gone through their website extensively to see if I can pick anything out that might be useful. I noticed that they sell replacement components/kits which have washers and whatnot. Worse case scenario, I suppose I could order those items and see if someone can service if I bring them what they need.

Hoping there is a easier route though. Have to see what the company says.

finding a shop to do the rebuild may not be that straight forward since it is house brand gear from a dive shop chain in the PI. could go the DIY route if you can buy rebuild kits.

thank you for your information. I will definitely keep that in mind. Are you familiar with this brand?

They're not a big company and only seem to have one non-Phillipines distributor in the UAE. So not a lot of help there.

Being in the Phillipines they're probably sourcing their regs from one of several large Chinese mfr's - who also mfr. other small run brands. Some of the differences are largely cosmetic. So if you could determine that maybe somone like Airtech would be willing to look at it. AirTech Services Contact them anyway with what you've got.

I've seen something similar to the QR3 somewhere - that rounded end cap is pretty distinctive.
