norespect:..snip..
I operate 'NO RESPECT DIVING CHARTERS" in the California Channel Islands.
miketsp:Well I don't mean to be rude but there's no way I'd ever use an operator with a name like that!
What don't you respect? Your customers or the environment? :11:
norespect:Well, you are obviously too young to remember the famous Rodney Dangerfield jokes " Can't get No Respect"
Its the name of my boat (No Respect") so I adopted it for my business. after over 10 years of operation I can safely say that its proven to be true that as a dive Instructor and small operator we don't get much "respect" from the other big comercial DIVE BOAT guys who by the way dump over 30 divers in a site to take whatever thay can from it including game, reef reminants and miscellaneous other things. Have you ever seen the damage a 100 lb anchor can do to a reef?? How about what happens after 30 divers turn over every rock in the site looking for lobster, or game//
By the way, I have made a point of not allowing game taking on the boat, pictures only and the divers I take out are usually pretty conscious of the site's we dive and usually leave them undamaged by the affair, especially after my usual speech about not messing up my reef!
Incidentally,, I try not to form opinions about others untill I know something about them. Try it sometime! also, let me leave you with anouther old saying, "to assume makes an *** of u and me"
