Hello all,
I stumbled across the "Board" while researching the great fin debate on Rockets/Jets/Turtles. I'm currently living in the Middle East but should be in Oahu in 4-5 months for a 3 year "vacation". I'm OW qual'd, in the process of getting Advanced OW and hope to be Instructor qual'd by the time I leave Oahu. (if I do leave) I look forward to the information, advice, and conversation on the board.

I dove Jets for years a really liked them. Then something that I don't think I've ever heard of happening before or since happened to me. I broke one of my Jets in half when I got tumbled by a wave! I replaced it with a Jet-like fin (U.S. Divers Compro) in the '80s because I got a great deal (employee deal) on it from the Sport Chalet (pre-big corporation) where I worked at the time. If I had to get another pair of fins tomorrow they would be Jets. So, add another vote to Jets in the great fin debate!

Don't forget to fill out your profile, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.
