I happened upon this site in hopes to have a question answered.
My mom was recently amputated above her left knee, she always hoped to learn to dive but now she doesn't think she will be able to. Can anyone tell me if it is still possible for her to dive?

Dive heart is a SCUBA diving group that helps differently abled divers, blind, paraplegic etc. They are on Scubaboard so you can just search up at the top of page. Good Luck to you both!

As Francesea said, definitely check out dive heart. In addition, many cities have instructors who are certified to work with disabled students. Lacking one lower limb is certainly an impediment, but far from a deal killer. There are a number of options, both technique and equipment-wise, that will enable your mom to dive. Definitely tell her not to let this stop her!
