Anyone here? I just moved to Panama City from Kentucky & thought I'd check on here for the local dive groups.

I'm curious as to the local diving scene...where to go, where not to go, what there is to see, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Repost this on the Deep Dixie Divers main thread for many more responses.

There are two upcoming events:

Both in or near Panama City, and both great ways to meet local divers. The jetties at St. Andrews Park are one of my favorite shore dives in the area. Be sure to dive it an hour or two before high tide for the best conditions. There are usually several groups diving it on the weekend, and it's generally acceptable to ask to tag along as long as you are ready to dive (folks won't want to wait on you to complete gear up if they are already walking into the water).

Thanks a lot, man. Those videos are incredible.

Still a very active dive club, just not very active on the computer. We have club members diving somewhere almost every weekend. You are in a great place to get alot of awesome diving in. Take care.
