just to say hi to all and to ask a quick question. Does anyone know if it is possable to pass as a open water diver with padi, and then take the advanced in naui, will this still be recognised as an advanced diver qualification?

Hello malc_t and welcome to SB!

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. The search feature is a good way to find out. You can see old threads related to almost any topic.

Posting the question in Basic Scuba forum will get more response too. (Not everyone reads posts in I&G)

Feel free to browse around or PM me if I can help you with links or that search function thing........:)

Welcome to Scubaboard,
most agencies have arrangements for crossover between agencies. So long as the levels are equivalent this is normally not a problem. The advanced cert will be recognised by third parties, and by PADI if you choose to go on and do PADI rescue. I would contact the Naui instructor of your choice to discuss the crossover.

Welcome to Scubaboard. Yes you can cross over with no problems. If you want to get the PADI Master Scuba Diver one day you may want to stick with PADI on the Specialties but I don't think AOW will cause any problems.

Please take a few moments to fill out your personal profile. It is a great way to get to know other divers. You can check out the profiles of the divers who have responded to your question for examples of what to include.
