My wife and I just recently began the online training, and are planning for confined water classes next month. I love the water, and look forward to being where y'all have been.

We're going on a cruise in September through the Eastern Caribbean, and will be trying to make at least a couple of dives (I hope) while we're there. I've read all of the caveats regarding the cruise dive excursions, but since it will likely be our first true dives, I'm not too worried about being taken on a "tour".

This is something that I've always wanted to do, but timing was never right. I used to skydive quite a bit, and most of those guys also were scuba certified, and they were always making dive/dive trips to Mexico (I lived in California back then, and yes the sky diving always came before the scuba diving). Needless to say, not being scuba certified left me out of all of those trips.

Anyway, I've been reading this board a lot before finally deciding to just join. It has been a great resource of information, and I look forward to participating with some valid input...as soon as I have something valid to input.:)
