Hello, I'm new at free diving and spearfishing

My name is Mike D and I'm a So Cal local and I would love some freediving tips and spots near Santa Barbara Ca...........I never took any dive classes but a great swimmer and hunter. So if you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate all the advice you could give before summer and all keep in touch on the status of the SB and Ventura spots and reefs. So if there are any suggestions or tips let me know....................
