Hi All,

I'm new here .. I started diving almost 2 years ago but do not have very much experience yet as I'm from NYC and don't get too many opportunities...but I love diving! Thanks for having me.

I'm going to Jaco Costa Rica on Feb. 27th and was wondering about Herradura Divers (I noticed Chris's earlier post on this). I would love any information people may have about diving in that area. I hesitate to dive somewhere with crazy currents when I haven't done it for a while...but on the other hand, realistically I will probably not make it up farther north during my stay. Any thoughts?

Thanks and so glad to join!

ggbrock,

there are "crazy" currents in some spots but only between low and high tide due that we are in the mouhth of a big Gulf.
But be assured that we DON'T dive there with clients.

There is no real reason to dive there because we have beautiful divesites ways nearer and the never have strong currents.
Sometimes a little bit of surge, but never too strong even for beginners,
consider that we dive there with our Discover Scuba Diving Clients, and that this is their first dive in open water.

Best regards

Chris Karrer
