Hi all,

My wife and I are relatively new divers, who hail from the mountain end of VA. We dive some around here in the local quarries, but the Caribbean is where we obsess over for 50 weeks a year.

I have been a long time lurker on these boards (my wife uses the word obsessed), and I have gained a great deal of knowledge from them, so I figured it was about time to be able to post.

Happy Diving,

Thingol

Welcome! I am finishing two weeks in Cozumel. The water is GREAT!!

Welcome to the board! I'm in Blacksburg, VA. If you ever feeling like swinging by, give me a shout. Also, where are you at relative to me? I'm always looking for more local places to dive!

Welcome on board. I am from Woodbridge VA and I often get together with local divers for dives that don't require too much travel. I hope to cross paths with you guys some day.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I am located about an hour south east of Blacksburg, near Smith Mountain Lake. I actually grew up in Christiansburg, so I am pretty familiar with the area. While there are some dive spots on the new, Summersville and Rawlings are where we usually head when in the area.

grew up in Roanoke now live in Dallas by way of New Orleans pre Katrina
not a fan of dallas but Cozumel is cheap from here
