Hello All!
After a very long stint of no diving I have resumed diving again.
I received a scholarship from the Texas Veterans Administration, so I left a full time job to pursue a bachelors Degree in Communication Technology, minor in Business Marketing.

I am now a senior at UTA and only have a few classes remaining. This semester I could only take 3 classes towards my degree. To receive my full grant, I needed a 4th class so the counselor recommended I take another PE class. Going down the list... Archery, bowling, basketball.....Palates...Yoga... WHOA wait! BACK UP- What was that one? Oh you mean Scuba? YES!!! SIGN ME UP FOR SCUBA !!!!

I completed my OW Naui certification this semester. Next spring I will, again, require a 4th class... YEP, you guessed it SCUBA! I will be taking Advanced/Master courses. :eyebrow:

Being in Texas and nowhere near the Ocean I had forgotten Scuba and pursued other hobbies. The lakes here aren't the best and I didn't know anyone who dives. That has changed now. I have learned there are a few decent ponds to train in to get ready for the Caribbean trips! AND I find there a BUNCH of other divers here too. :D

Howdy back from another Texan! Now that's the way to obtain college credit.

Make sure you stop by Texas Swamp Divers Section.

Other than that, there are plenty of good folk around and excellent information on SB. Just pick a topic and there will be tons to read.
