Hello from South Florida

I am new to diving.. in fact I am not even certified yet. certifiable maybe but I don't think you get a card for that, not yet anyway.

I have been living in Florida for a year now and I want to dive so I am working on getting certified to do so..

You'll fit right in because the members are all certifiable, maybe that is a requirement for getting a c-card but no one has told us.

Florida has a very active dive club, check it out on the local dive forum.

Welcome to the board, FLA Girl! You are in a great spot to start your diving in South Florida. You have great dives sites from Key West all the way up to Jupiter. You'll love drift diving and the fact that most of the sites are not far from shore (some of us have trouble with long boat rides..)

As a matter of fact, this time of year presents the calmest seas down there.

So get going and enroll yourself in an instruction class!!
