Hi rivrdiving, I am an OLD Chalestonian. NOw live in Palm Beach county Fl. The drift diving is the greatest here. Beautiful clear water, now the temp is 80 something. Where is the hot hole. maybe my buddy and I would like to go there soon. honeychilde

The hot hole is the secondary cooling water released from the nuke plant located on Lake Keowee in SC. It says around 70 degrees all winter. Lots of fish and turtles. It is a nice drift dive and the eddy current brings you back to the outflow from the plant.

If I had to pick between clear FL waters and a muck dive in Keowee, well FL here I come. The hot hole is nice place to lake dive in the winter around these parts for those of us still diving wet.

Hello fossilbabe and Honetchilde nice to meet yall, Undersea I may try that this year the marriage thing is finnally settled so now maybe I will get lot more time here this winter and fall.
Me and a buddy are planning a trip to Ginny Springs this month but there are alot newer than me divers going so they will probly stay in the springs I want to try the drift diving and ofcourse look for some fossils and artifacts...
