Well, glad I found this board. My friend signed me up for a Scuba certification. Newby, open water. Passed the classroom portion and had the first pool portion. Was great fun, I continue with the last pool session and open lake dive in a few weeks. Very excited. I have been diving many times over the years but have never been certified. (My family is from Hawaii and I spent a great deal of time there when I was a kid) I have learned a great deal and have hooked up with a great group. Things sure have changed.

I have always been fascinated with the marine environment. I look forward to some lake dives here in OK as well. I have heard good things about tenkiller and murray as well as other lakes. I want to head to Cozumel in September and allready have a trip planned to Maui in July.

Thanks for the welcoming environment. Headed out for the last Pool dive this evening and going to Tenkiller this weekend for the OW portion. WOOHOOO! I will be headed to Maui in July to dive the Molokini Crater and one other site there. :cool2:

Well, I am now an officially certified Diver. WOOHOO! Things sure have changed from the 80's.

Had a great time. Blue Water Divers in OKC are sure a top notch bunch of instructors. They were extremely thorough and were great to work with.
