Hello been sitting on the fringes for a while and reading the forum so thought I had better say hello, I am new to diving as of last year and am looking to learn more and gain more experience this year via the padi route I have only done my advanced open water so far and hope to do rescue diver this year.
I do have one question I would like to ask you knowledgable people I am buying my first drysuit and went to otter where John was very helpfull I went for a membrane suit with neoprene seals because of the new type of stretchy neoprene there is but I now find this means there will be no option for dry gloves.
My question is what seals would you go for and why any advice will be much appreciated thanks.

Sunflower100,

Welcome to ScubaBoard; there is a little something for everyone. Goodluck with the training. I would repost your dry suit question in the equipment section of the forum...there are many good folks who can help you.

Where I wreck dive in the Northeast U.S., the bottom temperatures are normally 40-55 f. I like the "White's" style dry mitts with the beveled edge that work nicely with neoprene wrist seals. I don't like the Mickey Mouse gloves with the rings because they puncture pretty easily, but I'm told they are the only way to go for REALLY cold water (below 40 f).
