I have been diving for years without a cert. I finally went to complete my basic through SSI in Kings Mountain. I dove in the military, never got a chance to go to dive school, but did go to pre-scuba which is two weeks of dive instruction, 40 hours weeks. Basically, by looking at civilian certifications it would take you through master diver by SSI standards. But I am going through all of it and now want to have all the right documentation.

I am going to Australia next month and the wife and I found a live aboard to stay on for 2 nights. I also figured that I would do my advance open water there. Hell it is only $100 more for 5 padi courses.

Well enough for now, take care and look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone.

Steve
