Hey everyone! Just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I was originally certified in Thailand over a decade ago and have done a handful of dives over the years—mostly warm water trips here and there.

This summer, I’m hoping to finally give Great Lakes diving a try. I’ve never been diving in the region before, so I’m looking forward to learning more about local sites, gear recommendations for cold water, and meeting others who dive the area. Excited to be here and soak up some knowledge!

Great, I was wondering what the sign for “instant regret” was. Pretty sure my tropical dive muscles will seize up halfway down the descent and I’ll just sink like a stylish, neoprene-wrapped rock.

I'm one who dives where the water is and a little bit of 45 degree water in February in my 7mm wetsuit is just fine as long as I have a thermos of hot chocolate to warm me up after.

I plan to head north regularly to visit family and explore as many Great Lakes wrecks as I can after this summer.

Welcome to the forum.
