After reading quite some time the forum as a guest, I
decided today to register.
I'm from Belgium, but am living in Mexico City for the
time being. Being close to the Gulf, Carribean coast,
the Pacific and the Yucatan cenotes, I plan to dive as much
as possible before returning to the cold, dark waters back
home.
Hello again and hope to hear from you all!

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest where it's cold & sometimes murky, but still fabulous. Enjoy the blue water while you are there!

Hi Jdlo, welcome to the boards.

Im also sort-of based in Mexico City. If you like we could try to see if we can get in a weekend trip to Veracruz sometime this month before the end of the season?

Cheers,
Gaucho

Hi Gaucho!
I was told that September is very risky for Veracruz
diving since the weather is quite unpredictable.
You never know upfront if you will be able to dive
and since it's min. a 5h drive from DF ...
Have you been diving in Acapulco?
I've been to the close sites such as Palmitas and
La Roqueta but think there are more interesting sites.
My girlfriend is taking the discover scuba class in
Acapulco this weekend and I will try to find out.

Well, I agree it gets a little choppy but I still will risk it. Also, I think you can get there in less than 5hs... :D
