I'm a 26 year old male that works full time as a 911 Dispatcher. Prior to this I worked for seven years as a Paramedic. I've always wanted to get into diving and now have the time and means to do so. My fiance has been certified since she was a teenager and has helped spark my interest. I plan on taking my first class in either April or May through Naui. I look forward to meeting other divers and gaining from their experiences and knowledge.

Aloha and welcome to SB! Best of luck with your certification. It can definitely be not only a rewarding experience, but a life changing event. :D

Welcome aboard from another Kentuckian and new diver. What part of KY are you from? I'm west KY, near Hopkinsville.

Maybe we can dive together someday.

HI! & Welcome form yet another Kentuckian! Like Bob, I'm also In western KY, but a little further north. If you are in this area or ever come to this area look us up. We both dive a lot at the quarry in Hopkinsville, KY. In fact, you may find me tehre just about every weekend I'm off this summer. There is also a section on the board here called the KY Piranha Patrol. It has divers from all over KY & Southern IN. It's a great & crazy bunch.

It's a great & crazy bunch.

I resemble that remark! :)

Welcome to the board and hope to see you at the quarry. BTW, the Ky piranha patrol is having a get together on Memorial day weekend at Falling Rock Park. You are more than welcome to join us.

Hi:

I'm in KY, too; I live in Hopkinsville, and I've dived the local quarry, Pennyroyal Blue Springs, a few times.

Dive Cerulean in Cadiz, KY, closed. There's also Martha's Quarry in TN; I haven't been there, or Falling Rock, as yet.

Richard.

There's also Mermet Springs just north of Metropolis, IL.
