I'm an avid boater and offshore fisherman who is never able to satiate the need for "salt". Fortunately, living in Florida, I'm able to indulge my passion 12 months out of the year! I've had many great adventures on the ocean and witness wonderful sights on almost every trip. For years I've watched the dive boats work the artificial reefs off of Jacksonville, and thought that diving must add another dimension to experiencing the ocean.
My wife and I wanted a different adventure this past summer. We chose Open Water Certification and in August we completed our open water certification dives in Marathon. It didn't take many reef dives for both of us to be hooked.
I'm a member of a boating/fishing forum that has given me the opportunity to share my experiences and learn from other member's contributions. Scuba Board and its forum contributors are a valuable resource as my wife and I navigate the learning curve! There are many safety lessons, techniques, a ton of gear to wade through and many destinations to dive.
