Hello, I have been a lurker here for a couple for a couple of months, and have gotten tons of great info.

My husband, 16yo son and I are all very recently certified divers. I finished my check out dives at Portage Quarry in Ohio, and I look forward to going back there and to White Star. I also plan on diving on Lake Erie, I want to see the glacier grooves.

Everyone I have met diving have been very helpful even when I asked dumb questions like is this spring feed quarry cold?:dork2:

Welcome to the board! Have you been to Gilboa Quarry yet? I'm heading up with some open water students June 28-29 if you would like to join a regular your first time there. I should have some extra divers if you'd like someone to show you around or you can just explore on your own and hang out with the group during the surface intervals. There is some sort of treasure hunt up there that weekend, you'd have to contact the quarry for information about that. I'm actually heading up Friday evening (27th) to get my site set up and maybe sneak a dive in if you're interested in joining me.
