Hey all, my name is Chris and I'm new to these boards.

I am 28 and live in Germany currently as a civilian after 5 years in the Army.

I recently went to Okinawa for 2 weeks over Christmas and after my NAUI Scuba Diver course am OBSESSED with diving and can't stop thinking about it.

It is all that I want to do and not an hour goes by that I am not depressed I'm not doing it right now.

I currently have a nice job at a ball bearing plant that makes the ones used in the massive wind turbines you see everywhere, but diving is what I want to do and nothing will stop me.

I look forward to meeting all of you (or as much as possible on an internet forum) and taking every dive course I can get my hands on.

My hope would be to one day maybe teach this after I have alot more experience under my belt...

I can speak German, but am not really sure it would be of any help as there are not really many dive locations in Germany that seem to be worth it.

I plan on taking many more courses as often as I can in the future, however I'm not sure if I should stick to NAUI now or if its possible to send in a copy of my NAUI card when I get it to maybe get the equivalent in PADI as well.

The next class I'm looking at is Advanced Open Water. Do I try to find a dive shop then and they will send me the course materials ahead of time as my instructor in Okinawa did?, or do I need to go through NAUI and request the materials?

From the bit I've seen there seems to be a couple of NAUI licensed shops in Germany, would anyone happen to possibly have a more comprehensive list that I could check out, or a listing of naui licensed shops in europe?

Nice to meet you and any tips or answers to my questions would be immensely appreciated.
