Hey everyone!
Any tips for first time open water divers? Wife and I 've got our own gear, plan on getting plenty of rest before/after diving.any other things we should be mindful of?

Hi, welcome! All I can say is to try various types of diving and see what suits you. Some people love boat dives, others shore diving, scientific diving, caverns, wrecks, fish, coral, there's a lot of different things to see and do.

Any tips for first time open water divers?

Are you diving Monterey or heading for tropical sites? If Monterey, pay more attention to a good suit than any other piece of gear. Cold is not fun.
