Hi everyone,

I've been kinda lurking around for a while now reading up on all the great information on the site. I got my certification card in the mail today so I feel like it's finally official! :D

I did my OW cert dives at Blue Heron and was absolutely amazed by the amount of life down there. We fish in that area frequently and we camp at Peanut Island just south of there all the time but had no idea that the bridge was such a popular dive site. My fiancee and I, we got certified together, will be going there a lot more now.

We want to explore as many of the shallower (max 40') locations at first just to get some dives in the books and gain some experience, so any suggestions in the south Florida region would be greatly appreciated.

This is really a great site with a lot of great info. I can't wait to get out there and just explore!

So...hi everyone! :happywave:

Welcome to the forums. I just dove Blue Heron last night, but lauderdale by the sea in Broward is a nice fun dive right off the beach. I have done that dive a couple of times as well. I know you could call up a couple of lds like Gold Coast or Force E are close to there. I don't really know allot of shops down that way. Maybe I will see you at the bridge some time.
