Hi, I'm Derek from Lake Charles, LA. I'm currently in the Keaton Beach area of FL, and heading down to Crystal River area in Dec.
I got certified in '02 and never really went anywhere with diving until I took a refresher course 4 weeks ago.
The wife and I were certified by Silent World in Key Largo while on vacation, and when I got home, she lost interest. I was reintroduced to diving by a DMC that just started working for me in the pipeline industry. After the refresher in Troy Springs, FL, we have made several dives in Panama City, picked up the spear fishing bug, and are looking for new places to dive in this area.
I do have a small boat that is capable of handling the gulf in 1-3 footers, so if anyone wants to head out tandem one Sunday (our only day off), Gimme a shout.
