Hello everybody,

I'm new to the board and am looking forward to seeing what's happening out there. I'm also wondering how many people out there from different countries have tried diving in British Columbia and what their thoughts were?

Most people I meet are surprised by what we have to offer as a dive destination here (once you get over the cool water)?
 
Well, I'm only sort of from a different country (USA), but I sure enjoyed my one trip to Nanaimo last January, and I'm seriously hoping to get up into BC and do some more diving this summer.

Greetings! I am also from the very foreign country to the south of you. We dive BC a fair amount, and it is a wonderful place. Lots to see and very close in the Vancouver/Howe Sound/Gulf Islands.

But the exchange rates! We can't joke about the loonie being the arctic peso any more: the US dollar is looking more like the Zambian kwacha.
