I live in Columbia, MO and have been a diver since 2000. I haven't had much time to dive in the last couple years and before that I was mostly a vacation diver anyway. I've recently been introduced to some closer to home water that I'm really excited about getting into. If anyone in Central MO wants a dive buddy for local diving, please let me know. Enthusiasm I have, dive buddies I don't.

I have about 25 dives logged in Table Rock, Beaver, Bull Shoals, mid mo quarries, and the Gulf of Mexico. My dive goals for this season are the Gulf again (trip planned), maybe a great lake, norfork lake, Table Rock, Mine la Motte and Finger lakes in Columbia. If anyone wants to meet up, drop me a line!

Hey there...I am in Columbia as well, but just for the rest of June and the first week of July. Very interested in diving some Missouri sites as I grew up here but never did it when I was younger. I live in Gainesville, FL and have loved the springs...Let me know if you want to set something up. I would be very interested in Table Rock, Mine la Motte, Oronogo - something that is probably a day trip, I also have a very limited budget. I am dubious of Finger Lakes :) But I would try it. Anyhow, let me know if you're still interested - I can do weekday or weekend typically.

Welcome to the ScubaBoard! Bonne Terre Mines in MO is a must!!!!!

If I may recommend another spot, it is sort of a long drive but I think it is worth it. Mermet Springs in Metropolis, Illinois is a great dive. The have the sunken plane from the movie U.S. Marshalls, a school bus, a few cars, blue- gill and deep diving available among other things. There is also a nice hotel right of the road that gives you a "diver discount".
