Hello everyone,
I just got my OW a couple of weeks ago. I doubt very much that I will be ice diving so I hope to possibly meet some of you in warmer climates. Next planned trip is Maui in Jan/Feb. I have been browsing the forum off and on for a while. There is a lot of good info here.

Welcome to the world of diving!

There some good clubs in Alberta - I hope you continue your diving and training.

Happy diving.

Thank you ScubaBB and Crush. Yes Maui sounds just right I think. I have no intention of ice diving. None of my friends are into diving so I hope to meet a few people in the Calgary area that I can go diving with to warmer climates in the winter / spring / fall. I will scope out some of the clubs. Thanks for the heads up

Underwater Outlaws is a large group in Calgary.

Send me a PM if you are ever interested in diving and camping in Waterton.

Hey Crush... correct me if I am wrong... isn't Waterton a very cold lake? Like fed from a glacier or something. I really want to be a warm weather/water diver. But thanks for thinking of me.

No, no, no. Minnewanka is COLD. Emerald Bay in Waterton is positively tropical by comparison. :)
