Welcome to SB. I traveled through Aqaba years ago while running around the Middle East. Funny story about the immigration at the ferry port, we needed to pay for our immigration visa but the officer would only accept Jordanian dinar. Which just arriving we had none. He said no problem, just walk down to the ATM and get some money. We thought it funny that he would just let us go past the entry port to go the ATM. Of course we would not go far as he kept our passports. I'll save the story about the taxi collective ride to Petra for another time. Someday I hope to get back as traveling in Jordon was a good fun.
