Hey i'm new to this site, but have used it for advice many times. I was certified 1 1/2 yrs ago but have already logged over 50 dives. I recently was rescue diver certified, and will be starting on my DM soon. I try to dive at the ocean as much as possible, as well as natural springs. around where i live i go to a lot of rock quarries or rivers/lakes. many of the rivers are 0-1ft visibility, but its still fun. :-)

Hello and welcome Scubav85. I am a former resident of Alabama myself and greatly miss the state these days. Anyway Where is Athens Alabama in relation to Birmingham? I used to live in Pell City myself.

Good luck on your dive master too!

K Ellis, Athens is right on I-65 in North alabama, not far away from Huntsville. so i'm guessing you been to the Pelham quarry a good bit? ever go to vortex springs or homosassa springs? i'll be going to panama city next week, may dive the Empire Mica and the USS Oriskany on that trip. :-)

ScubaV is right Marckel. google Dan scuba insurance.

ScubaV I want to come back and goto the Pelham Quarry. I did goto Vortex Spring though and Loved it for what it was. Its not a world class dive destination but it is a fun and neat little place to dive. Anyway as I am typing I got your PM. So Ill finish this up there :)

Hey, in Alabama myself. Grew up in Ragland (so I know where Pell City is) but I now live in Gadsden.

Oh, I just did the Oriskany 2 days ago. I enjoyed every minute of my 2-tank dive.
