A few months ago I got my OW certification from SDI in 46 degree water, but I still loved diving. Then, I got to dive cancun, where I saw cenotes caverns and beautiful reefs (30' vis is wayyy better than 1' vis ;-)). Now, I just moved to NYC, and I just completed a nitrox course, and I'm itching to dive in August. How can I find some buddies who would dive with me around the city (for instance, I heard in Dutch Springs there's a cool helicopter wreck)? I am totally unfamiliar with where to rent gear (I only have the basics), and I don't know any divers in the NYC area (maybe we could share a rental car?).
