Hi everyone! My name is Tim and I live in the Netherlands. I'm 15 years old and I really love scuba diving. Two years ago, I went to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, for a two weeks' holiday. During that holiday, me and my dad joined the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course, and we made two dives at our hotel's magnificent housereef. After that, we absolutely wanted to join the PADI Open Water course as well, but our holiday would end in about two days. So last year we visited Egypt again and stayed at a nice hotel in El Gouna. Immediately, my dad and I joined the Open Water course and we made about five dives at some beautiful reefs. Fortunately, we passed the exam. Being home again, I really wanted to go diving. But I was (and still am) quite afraid of diving in the Dutch, unclear and cold water. So luckily we are visiting Sharm el Sheikh again this year, and we intend to do the Advanced Open Water. I'm really looking forward to that. We still don't possess our own diving gear, but last month I bought a beautiful underwater housing for my Panasonic Lumix TZ8. So this year I'm going to take lots of photos of the Red Sea underwater life. Greetings, Tim.
