I am a diver from Northern Kentucky who is always looking for opportunities to dive and learn about diving. I am just getting into tec diving and will be taking my deco class next month. After that I will be looking for places and peolpe looking to go deep.

Welcome!! Happy diving!!

I have to admire any diver wanting to take tech...I just like the fun of diving and I feel proud just being able to get my AOW!!! I learned alot about myself during that time...but overcame....Lake Jocassee in South Carolina, has a 350 foot dive to what use to be a girls camp before it was flooded to make the lake..some of the buildings are still there along with a cemetary...I've seen video..fascinating...

RiverPearl is correct - you need to go to Jocassee. If you want to do the deep stuff, get in touch with Bill@offthewalldiving.com. He owns Off the Wall Diving in Salem, is an instructor, and has dived Attakulla Lodge (300-foot tri-mix dive). Camp Jocassee for Girls is in 318ffw, when the lake is full. The cemetery is at 138ffw normally, but the lake is down. Welcome! :blinking:

welcome aboard

Hi Deepdiver68, I'm in western KY (Owensboro area). Like you , I am getting into technical diving. I just completed an Adv. Nitrox & Decompression Procedures course last month & will be doing intro & full cave in Feb. If you ever find yourself diving the western part of the state, look me up.
