Heating panels

I came across these heating panels which are available for individual purchase for making heated undersuits - would appreciate the thoughts of those that are knowledgeable in these things as to what they think of them - Heating panels for self-assembly - SmartTex - versus other heated panel tech / designs etc.

Since it's impossible to tell even the most rudimentary specifications like if they are nichrome or carbon fiber its hard to "say what I think of them"

I thought that may be the case. I will try to find out more. This company does make heated undersuits so one would hope that they are suitable.

If I could find something in China that I knew was suitable then I would get those as it is a lot easier to get something from China to Australia than it would be to get these.

Why are you needing heat in Australia?

Because in winter in Tasmania it is bucking freezing! I've seen snow on the beach after a night dive. Tech diving with long stops makes heat necessary for me.

I can't say that I have ever tried to drink and drive upside down - but then I've never been the most agile guy.

If anyone who is knowledgeable about these heating panels and has previously ordered them from China or has some time on their hands and can try to pick some ones from China that seem to tick all the boxes then I would be very grateful! Unfortunately I don't know enough about them to be able to pick a potentially good one. Down here it is lower end of temperate rather than arctic circle diving - so from what I can gather either 7.4v or 12v ones would be suitable.
