In Jan. I was doing a boat diving getting my advanced certificate. One the deep dive I felt a bit of a reverse squeeze but it clear. When I surfaced my nose was bleeding just a bit. It stopped so I proceeded on my second dive after a break. My head hurt a bit going down and up but always cleared but this time when I came up my nose had bleed so much I could see it in the bottom of my mask. I did not dive any more that day.
Ever since then when I fly I get horrible pain in my head but it clears with advil. IN addition diving has been difficult. I dove once in Feb and was Ok aside from a little pain as I was coming up along the beach but it went away after I stopped a bit. Today I tried diving and had to end my dive early. At about 35 feet my head just started to hurt horribly. We went back slowly and the pain would come and go. We surface really far from the beach and tried to descend to swim in but I could get back 6 feet. I haven't had any more nose bleeds but I am concerned it will not go away and I will not be able to dive much more. IN all cases, my headaches end up lasting all day with no relief from the conventional drugs. I am not taking any medication and do not have allergies. I really love to dive and am so sad that this is ruining my experiences.
Has any one experienced anything like this? My instructor suggested it may be my sinuses since the pain is in the front of my head but I don't feel congested.
Thanks,
Algae
