Hello all,
i would like to get your advice regarding my symptoms after diving. I started my advanced course in the weekend including "Underwater Navigator" and "Buoyancy controls". We did three dives in one day, all of them not deeper than 20 m, average 10 m. Dive were all around 50 min and in computer limits.
During one dive i was getting out of breath and felt some dizziness after the navigation exercise. The problem was that i lost feeling of depth and was ascending to 5 m and when i realized i was descending again to 12 m, so my dive profile wasn't perfect and also i felt kind of narcosis (slow thinking, unable to count, insecurity) and i was short breathing. But i didn't have equalizing problems. After the dives i was very exhaust and in the evening i started to get headache and sensibility of my ears to noise (people speaking was extremely loud). I didn't sleep well the day before dive and also day after dive. Next day the headache continued accompanied with dizziness, fatigue and sometimes nausea. The second day after the dive the headache was better but i had severe dizziness and i couldn't work because i was not able to concentrate. My head felt like i have cotton inside. I went to emergency, but they are not well informed here about diving symptoms. They checked my blood but everything is ok. They said it might be slight DCS and i could go in a decompression chamber, but i think i wanted to stay better at home because i don't have any other symptoms. Today is day 3 after dive, i have no headache and but i still have dizziness so that i couldn't work. Can you please help me to find out what could have caused this symptoms and how i can prevent this in future. Do i have to worry and when can i go diving next time?
Thank you very much for your advised in advance!
