I've have been a diver for 20 years and have over 100 dives logged. On my last 3 dives with newbies, short (<50 min) shallow (<50 ft) dives well within no decom limits. I have experienced headaches, bodyaches and the last one I had chills. I have very shallow breathing and do skip occasionally. I have been coming up with about a 1000 lbs left in my tank when everyone else ran out of air. I am not breathing any differently than I normally breath when I dive, and never had this problem before. Although I'm not in great physical shape anymore. Is it CO2 build up and my physical condition that's causing this? Should I start breathing faster or just exhale faster?

Thanks,
Rhom

No fever and the symptoms come on about 1-2 hours after the dive but all are gone after 4 hours.

I read the post that was referred to. I can’t connect salt water aspiration to this. I’ve been using the same regulator (Poseidon) for 5 years with out any problems and the first time that this happened to me my dive partner experienced the same symptoms.

Thanks,
Rhom
