Does anyone know of any websites or have directions on how to make one. I have a few buddies that one them in Oregon but they are off shore right now. Thanks guys

The most effective Hawaiian slings are the simple designs like Art, Donald and Fred Pinder made popular... a wooden stock with a band tied to it, and a freeshaft.

Here's a few photos I took of Art with his sling in the Bahamas a couple years ago. He was 74 at the time.

The Hawaiian sling is the most legal spearfishing tool on the planet, with no trigger. Along with pole spears, they are all you can use in the Bahamas, and only while freediving.

hana pa'a well no websites that I know of that tells how to make them they are really cheap here and not that many people use them anymore now its just 3 prongs or (polespear for the mainland people)they are easy to make, wal-mart actually sells them I think for around 20 bucks you can also get them at hanapaa.com or I can tell you how to make them easy, 3prongs are much better like long 10 foot kind
