It looks like a Female psychedelic wrasse, although they usually have a more distinctive white bar near the end of the tail. Here's a typical photo from http://www.marinelifephotography.com/fishes/endemic.htm
It might possibly be a pearl wrasse, but the body shape isn't quite right.

I'm leaning towards the Pearl Wrasse, based on the lack of spotting on the head, and the lack of a tail stripe. It is also more overall red than the Psychedelic Wrasse, although I did bump the saturation a bit in photoshop.
As for the shape, I'm claiming distortion from shooting downward on a turning fish. In any case, I never thought it could be a Wrasse! I'm used to those 2 inch wrasses in the fish store
This was very much inshore in some surge, so it also makes sense there. It was actually just the other side of the Pier from Walls.
