After a surface swim at Edmonds Underwater Park with a side current, we had to wait for some slower swimmers to show up (who eventually got too far downstream and couldn't swim toward us, so we had to meet up an another buoy).

It was a really long swim and I was so glad when we finally reached the buoy and I could relax, and my friend snapped this picture:

Oh man... there is a surface swim I don't miss!

Great dive, but even after not visiting there for almost 20 years, I still have nightmares about that surface swim.
 
Yup ... I once had to swim outside the park to retrieve a diver, tow him back to one of the boundary buoys, and hang on till the current slowed down and we were able to swim back to the beach. It wasn't fun.
