Is this video any good. Just starting out with a new HD Canon. Trying to learn as much as possible. My videos are for friends and family. I will not be publishing or anything along those lines.

Thanks

I liked it and picked up a few tips even though I had been shooting video for about 7 years when I watched it.

Ive been using and recommending Annie's video in my store since she released it a few years ago. Its a great all around learning tool for both new and experienced shooters. I would highly recommend it for any shooter.

I have her dvd and I wish it was something that I watched before I got into video taping my dives. Nothing in that video has taught me anything I did not know except playing around with zoom settings. Other things I kind of picked up myself through trial and error.

2 gripes with that dvd:

a tripod is a pain in the rear to haul around unless you do videotaping in one location.
playing with zoom only drains your battery that much faster.

But come to think of it.. if I watched this dvd when I first bought my camera I would not have to struggle through 1 year of trial and error exercises.

the video does a great job for new videogaphers and has some nice point to think about for the more experienced shooter. Nothing will satisfy everyone but I would recommend this dvd even if all you do is pop it in once in awhile and refresh the basics.
