Hey,
If any of you divers out there have had a chance to use Poseidons xstream yet please let me know your thoughts on it.
Thank You
Rob

I'm itching to try out the new Poseidons but I'm waiting a few months to buy one. I love my Odin and from what people say the Xstream is quite the reg. I like the second stage design as it is smaller than the Odin and the Cyklon. The reason I'm waiting though is Poseidon is re-releasing the Xstream with 2 HP ports and 4 LP ports on the first stage. The current model only has 1 HP and 3 LP ports. They say that the new models will be out in June. I can't wait!

I have both the Xstream Duration and the Xstream Dive. I use them as my primary and secondary on my twin 80's or twin 120's.

Previously I have Scubapro Mk25/S600 titaniums. I loved the scubapros but prefer them out in the Caribs. Nothing wrong with them and they have never given me any trouble I just wanted to stream line my hoses for a better configuration.

Considering I spend most of my time in 36-40 F water in Lake Superior and other similar lakes, I like the look and feel of the poseidons. I really like the way they breath. Very sweet.

I have taken then down to 200 feet multiple times and feel very comfortable with them. I have not yet experienced any form of free flow from either regulator and I enjoy swopping them out while diving just too see if I can feel any difference between then Dive and the Duration and to see if I can cause a free flow. I have not yet and I cannot really feel any difference in the breathing between the Xstreams.

Hope this helps.

I have had a chance to use my durations all summer now, and I will have to say they are sweat and haven't given me a lick of trouble, I have been doing most of my work at 150 feet and they do offer plenty of air.......... I would highly recommend them in any form ....dive,duration or deco to anyone is looking for a great reg.

Unless you use doubles I would wait for the recreational version of the xtream as they have more ports and you would need them if you have a drysuit or a dual bladder BC or anything of the like. I have used it though and it is definetely different than the apeks, and ithas thatopen concept design so you don't have to worry about salt accumulation as much and the cold will not touch it. Poseidon has the unique feature of an "automatic" adjustable reg if you will. 'The air just explodes into your mouth'. Very nice.
