I just received a DUI TLS350 Drysuit and, since this is my first drysiut, I was wondering if I will need to re-adjust my Halcyon harness system? I will be wearing a typhoon jumpsuit style undergarment with the drysuit. I currently have the harness perfectly adjusted for my 7mm wetsuit and will probably switch between the wetsuit and the drysuit. Any thoughts?

You will definitely have to readjust. Try putting on the undergarment and then the back plate. This will give you a rough idea of fit.

You may or may not need to adjust anything.

If you do need to adjust you can mark your harness webbing (paint pen, silver sharpie etc.) for both suits. Makes switching back and forth pretty easy.

You will probably find that you start to favor one exposure suit over the other, and don't need to switch much.

If you do need to make an adjustment for the different suits, and do use both suits regularly a 2nd plate and harness may be a worthwhile investment.

What Tobin said. All of it.

I have a big adjustment between my 5 mil wetsuit and my compressed neo drysuit, and another one between the compressed neo and the bag suit. And I did end up buying another plate and harness, because I turn out to be too lazy to readjust everything. It's really nice to be able to grab the wetsuit plate and know everything fits without fussing.

Thanks guys. I plan on gearing up tomorrow in prep for my pool sessions. I do own a Probe jacket style BC that I can use as well which will be easier to adjust but I do prefer the backplate. I guess it will have to be a case of trial and error. Thanks again for the input and have a happy new year!

If I switched suits often for some reason, I would absolutely buy a second plate. Adjusting the straps over and over would be a pain no matter how adept you became at it. I want to chuck my gear in the car and GO!

I not only went with the second plate for adjustment purposes but also if you decide to go doubles then you'll want the second plate as well. I'm fortunate in that my singles set up is pretty close whether in a skin or 5 mil. Now if I'm diving dry then I'm usually in doubles so that rig is set for my drysuit.

Don't try it at home alone.

Lol, nothing like walking up to your neighbors house in full kit to ask them to help you undress yourself :)
