So when I'm installing D-rings on the 2'' webbing, I have the retainers. The aren't flat, there is a "hump" in the middle part of the retainer. My question is, should that go up or down?

Thanks!

Danny

I don't know how pronounced the "hump" is, but they should probably go up. Heck, if that doesn't work, try 'em down. Not that much effort.

Got it all set up I believe, just need to have scubafool help me fine tune this bad boy :D

My is up.

Won't really make any difference. Most retainers are fairly thin stampings an they will bend when loaded.

The dring and retainer will distort the webbing quite a bit anyway.

My humps are down.
I envision the d-rings being "cradled" in the depression.

Probably doesn't mean **** though :)

The flat bit on mine is to the harness.
