2003 started about an hour ago here in Sydney.

Unfortunately I work shift (IT) :crush: and have the rotten luck to be rostered-on tonight. :sadparty: Oh well, at least from this office tower I had an awesome view across the harbour and the huge fireworks show.

When the smoke cleared, the traditional New Year message was left burning brightly across the span of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This year it simply read "PEACE"

-We can only hope :sigh:
