I just don't log dives
I separate out my BPW for rinsing and drying.

Right now I'm using a wire coat hanger that I cut and then retwisted together and bent at a 90 degree angle to hang the wing outside down. It works ok but I can't help but think there is a better way to do this.

Any ideas?

No really I use the built in hanger where the elbow meets the corrugated hose
whoop it over the line, which is the same as hanging it upside down but better

but I never separate the plate from the wing so I hang the wing from the plate

unless I'm doing this

This is my drying/ storage rack.

The wing is detached largely because I'm diving doubles so the bolts are on the tanks.

Magnificent!

That's what grommets and wire coat hangers are also for

Mate I need a bigger place too

If I remove my wing (and I rarely do it during the dive season), I hang my wings upside down to drain the water out of them. To do that, I just run a piece of cord (loop) through the grommet hole (could use the cam band slots), and hang it on a hanger/hook/etc.

Most of the time it remains on the plate, and I hang my rig from the crotch strap D-ring to achieve the same upside down orientation.

YMMV

I live in an apartment so very few options for hanging gear to dry.
Wing gets hung to dry out on the balcony on a rack when it's warm enough outside, and when it gets cold I'll just inflate the wing and lean it against one of the walls in the shower, always dries out overnight.

All divers need 2 things;

1. A bigger place

2. A bigger vehicle

As both are out of budget we adapt and overcome.
I'm with you on a bigger place. But my minivan is just the right size :)

I need a new garage (a.k.a. dive locker), and a really big one....
